Special thank you to Beaufort County Community Services for awarding a grant to support the Healthy Food Program. Second Helpings will utilize these funds to provide fresh produce to our food banks, churches and soup kitchens located in Beaufort County. This grant funding was awarded at the end of 2016 and will finance the program through June, 2017. This grant program is made available from Beaufort County Council and administered by the Beaufort County Human Services Alliance of which Second Helpings is a member. Applicants are expected to actively seek opportunities to partner and collaborate with others as our community seeks to organize around four life priorities 1) Economy, 2) Education, 3) Social Wellness, 4) Health and 5) Environment.
