Hunger isn’t seasonal, which is why our year-round effort to feed those in need is a worthy cause. You can help by making a donation or signing up to volunteer today.
Your gift matters! Second Helpings will provide food to over 22,000 hungry people in the South Carolina Lowcountry this year. But we can’t do it alone! We rely on the generosity of people like you to help us help others through our food distribution program. No gift is too small; every donation makes a difference in a person’s life. For every $100 we receive, we are able to provide approximately $2,000 of food to people in need.
Volunteers represent an integral part of the success of Second Helpings ability to help provide food to people in need in our community. We have over 350 volunteers who help in a variety of ways. Last year, volunteers contributed over 35,000 hours of service. We welcome and appreciate your time, talent, and interest for the benefit of others in our community. We have individual or group opportunities for those who are 18 years of age or older.
