Women in Philanthropy Salutes September Hunger Action Month

Another group that gives to Second Helpings is Women in Philanthropy (WIP). Through the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, this group has provided two grants to Second Helpings, including one this year to support K-12 Food Rescue. In 2017, WIP gave Second Helpings a grant to purchase fresh produce for senior citizens. Elizabeth Loda, chair, says the giving circle typically looks for “innovative projects that explore new solutions to solve old problems.  Watch their video on youtube, Second Helpings’ channel.
