Second Helpings is proud to be a recipient of a recent grant from Bluffton’s oldest thrift store. Calhoun Station Thrift Store, in Bluffton, use their proceeds to support local nonprofit organizations. This local icon is unique because it is 100 percent volunteer-run, with the sole purpose of raising money for charities.
Second Helpings, the only local food rescue agency, will use these funds to keep our eight refrigerated trucks on the road to rescue food and provide the food to agencies feeding their neighbors.
Second Helpings has been operating in the Lowcountry for 29 years. Calhoun Station opened 31 years ago.
