Amy Fee, a resident of North Forest Beach on Hilton Head, was recently named to the Board of Directors of this nonprofit.
Fee has extensive experience in sales and marketing, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree. She retired in 2019 from Morgan Stanley as Vice President and Director of Business Development.
In addition to volunteering with Second Helpings, this New York native is involved with the North Forest Beach Association, Turtle Trackers, Beaufort County’s Senior Leadership Program, and is a steward with the Little Free Library. Fee and her husband, Bernie, became full-time Hilton Head residents in 2013 after several years dividing their time between the island and New York.
“I strongly believe in the mission of Second Helpings,” Fee said. “Food should not be wasted, but rescued and distributed to those in need, thus contributing to the betterment of the community. My passion and my experience will assist Second Helpings to further grow and develop for the future.”
Executive Director Marcus Tanner commented on Fee joining the Board. “Nonprofits like Second Helpings have many similarities to business operations. We welcome Amy Fee’s extensive experience and accomplishments achieved in the corporate world. Her business knowledge, coupled with her events and promotions background, will help us achieve greater success in rescuing food and serving the Lowcountry.”
