Executive Director, Amy Colin on WHHI June 2026

Second Helpings Executive Director, Amy Colin recently joined WHHI to share how our community is coming together to help fight summer hunger and support neighbors across the Lowcountry.

In the interview, Amy highlights:
🍎 How our three incredible summer interns are helping expand our impact.
🥪 The Groceries-To-Go summer food program in partnership with Beaufort County School District and The Nutrition Group, helping ensure local children have access to breakfast and lunch all summer long.
🏖️ Our Tourist Food Rescue program, encouraging visitors to donate unopened, nonperishable food to Second Helpings donation bins throughout Hilton Head Island before heading home.

It takes a community to make all of this possible, and we’re grateful for every volunteer, donor, partner, and supporter helping us make a difference.
