agency partners
Our 55 Agency Partners feed more than 13,000 people per week. They are on the front line of our fight against hunger and food insecurity.
“Second Helpings continues to do an exceptional job with providing for our growing numbers.”
– Nannette Pierson, Sandalwood Community Food Pantry, Hilton Head Island
Second Helpings partners with organizations and churches that serve people in need. Our Agency Partners include soup kitchens, food pantries, family and senior programs.

“When that (Second Helpings) truck comes, it is like Christmas. People come running from everywhere. There’s even a lady who sits at her window and waits for the truck. I don’t send anyone home empty-handed.”
– Helen Schuler, St. Stephen’s Food Pantry, Ridgeland
Becoming an Agency Partner
Organizations must be a qualified nonprofit organization and serve those in need in order to become an Agency Partner. While we try to help as many agencies as possible, requests exceed our capabilities. Our focus is to serve the greatest number of people in an area while avoiding duplication of services. Prospective agencies submit an application to our office, and a site visit is scheduled.
Once an agency is accepted as a partner, it will be added to the schedule depending on food availability and area served. Staff and volunteers perform annual site visits, conduct food safety training, and review quarterly reports from all of our Agency Partners. We re-qualify each Agency Partner every year to ensure that they provide the highest quality of service and food to the public.
Please download, read, complete, sign and submit the 2026 Agency Partner Application. It includes:
- The rules and obligations associated with receiving food from Second Helpings.
- Request for information on the number of households and persons served and other information.
We’ve also attached the Agency Site Visit Requirements so agencies can know what we look for when we come out for visits.
