Many of the memories we bring back when we travel are the savory dishes we enjoy on our trip. If you close your eyes, you can still smell the aroma of the exotic spices dressing the daily catch. You remember enjoying that meal while looked out at the flickering multi-colored lights dancing on the calm sea, watching the setting sun and marveling at the reflection of the ancient town’s lights parading across the waters, reaching for you, and beaconing you into a special, peaceful and calm place.
These spices are not too far away. In the next month, Second Helpings will be sharing some of the The Spice and Tea Exchange‘s recipes. These recipes are meant to entice you to enter the PORTUGAL RAFFLE available now until November 20. Bring your donated can goods to the store in Coligny Circle on Hilton Head Island. The can goods support the FILL THE NEED program, that provides groceries to our Hilton Head workforce every Thursday in partnership with the staff of Palmetto Breeze Transit.
