New Coordinators Will Guide Local Volunteer Efforts to Help the Hungry
Second Helpings is powered by 350 volunteers who staff the eight refrigerated trucks that rescue food for soup kitchens and food pantries in Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton counties. It takes a great deal of planning and execution to distribute three million pounds a year. This effort is led by two part-time coordinators.
Angela Ziuraitis is the new North of the Broad Coordinator for Beaufort and the Sea Islands. Ziuraitis was movement control coordinator with a global services provider following eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Her experience includes serving as a supply management specialist and distribution manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and is working on a master’s degree in project management. She can be contacted at email@example.com.
Paula Fanelly joins Second Helpings as South of the Broad Coordinator for Bluffton/Hilton Head. Fanelly is an entrepreneur who founded and owned an alternative health care enterprise. She is a long-time volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, past president of Women in Networking, and a volunteer therapist with a women’s shelter. Fanelly has a bachelor’s in technical education, holds a clinical hypnotherapy certification, and is a certified nurse assistant. She can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
